At the CCNA level, CCNA certified individuals will specialize in specific technologies. All specialized tracks require an individual to pass and maintain a CCNA certification.

• CCNA Security

CCNA Security validates knowledge of security infrastructure, threats and vulnerabilities to networks, and threat mitigation. Skills include installation, troubleshooting and monitoring of network devices to maintain integrity, confidentiality and availability of data and devices and develops competency in “Cisco IOS Network Security”

This certification is earned by passing the IINS 640-553 (Implementing Cisco IOS Network Security, or IINS) exam. The price of the exam is USD$250.

• CCNA Voice

The Cisco CCNA Voice certification validates a skill set for specialized job roles in voice technologies such as voice technologies administrator, voice engineer, and voice manager. The CCNA Voice certification involves implementing Cisco IOS Unified Communications. It validates skills in VoIP technologies such as IP PBX, IP telephony, handset, call control, and voicemail solutions. Candidates also get exposure to the Cisco Unified Communications architecture and design covering mobility, presence, and TelePresence applications.

The CCNA Voice certification is earned by passing the 640-460 IUC (Implementing Cisco IOS Unified Communications) or 642-436 CVOICE (Cisco Voice Over IP) exams.

• CCNA Wireless

The CCNA Wireless certification validates the knowledge of professionals supporting wireless LANs including Networking Associates/Administrators, Wireless Support Specialists and WLAN project managers. The CCNA Wireless certification involves implementing Cisco Unified Wireless Networking Essentials.

The CCNA Wireless Certification validates candidate’s skills in the configuration, implementation and support of wireless LANs, specifically those networks using Cisco equipment. Students completing the recommended Cisco training are provided with information and practice activities to prepare them for configuring, monitoring and troubleshooting basic tasks of a Cisco WLAN in SMB and Enterprise networks. • CCNA Routing & Switching

CCNA Routing & Switching validates the ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size routed and switched networks. Skills include making connections to remote sites via a WAN, mitigating basic security threats, and understanding the requirements for wireless network access.

This certification is earned by passing the 640-822 ICND1 (Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 (ICND1) and 640-816 ICND2 (Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 2 (ICND2)) or 640-802 CCNA composite exam. The price of ICND1 and ICND2 exam is USD$125 for each and $250 for the CCNA composite exam.

• CCNA Service Provider Operations (SP Operations)

CCNA Service Provider Operations validates basic knowledge and skills in a prescriptive troubleshooting environment within a carrier class IP NGN core network infrastructure.

This certification is earned by passing the 640-822 ICND1 (Interconnecting Cisco Networking Devices Part 1 (ICND1) and 640-760 SSPO (Supporting Cisco Service Provider IP NGN Operations (SSPO) ) or 640-760 SSPO (Supporting Cisco Service Provider IP NGN Operations (SSPO) )and possess any valid CCNA certification. I have learned CCNA nearly about one year. followed school NetAcademy course. so the base is not too bad.
In summer I heard one of my classmate participate the CCNA exam. To keep up with pace of the society, I take the exam,too.
I have only a week to prepare my exam .First, let me talk about how I prepared in a week. I spent 3 days to read ?°CCNA study guide?±(the sixth version).because I have learned it before, so I have a rough look. I also read a lot of others feelings and experiences. Seemingly the Q&A is a magic weapon for each person through the CCNA.
From the fourth day ,I downloaded various of the Q&As on many forums, because the exam center always change their exam, so the quantity of the Q&A is so large that it include above 500 Q&As.
I am so lazy and not willing to spend too much time on this, luckily I found this website : testpassport. Before buying the Q&A,I contact with the staff. they said the coverage of the Q&A is more than 96%.To tell the truth, I can not ensure they could help me. After purchase, the staff sent both pdf and software to me through e-mail .when I open the mail, it has only 171 Q&As. Wow, less questions, whether it is able to do the same as what the staff said. The problem will answered after take the exam. Conscientiously read the Q&A twice. Later use the simulation test engine. And mark the wrong answer and then re-do several times. Before take the exam, cisco company will have a investigation. it needs 15 minutes and this do not waste your test time. There will be a section can fully let you familiar with the exam interface. I suggest the candidates who first take the exam do not treat something lightly. Carefully read this section and in the end make sure you are over 18 years old and agree with the test agreement. After this. it is time to start exam.
On the process of the exam, you can not able to go back to check the test, so all of the candidates must need to read the questions carefully. I have drawed 44 questions within 3 simulation questions. I do not want to talk too much about choice questions. Single Choice need to choice one answer. Multiple-choice are in accordance to the questions, then click next is ok. The most important are simulation questions. There are two kinds, the first part include three to four choice questions, answer these questions need to according to the router’s configuration.Directly click console in topological graph ,connected to the corresponding computer router, enter to CLI
interface, then click ?±show run?± to view the router configuration to answer the corresponding questions. Must ensure that all questions are answered, In the upper left corner, there will be a progress shows, For example, a total of 4 questions, you answered the one will show 25%. Finished this then cick next, the system will prompt you, then click sure to go to next questions.
Another part is the router configuration, I encountered a NAT and a basic configuration of the route question, it is the same as the Q&A, set NAT overload ,router name, console, vty password. After configured, must copy run start, otherwise the configuration will be considered invalid.
To my surprise, all the test questions are exist in the Q&A, it took about 40 minutes, I have finished all the
questions easily. Print out test results on the spot, aha, 986 point.
This is my CCNA test experience, and it is also my first time to write this, I hope it can provide some help.

Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA®) validates the ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size route and switched networks, including implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN. CCNA curriculum includes basic mitigation of security threats, introduction to wireless networking concepts and terminology, and performance-based skills. This new curriculum also includes (but is not limited to) the use of these protocols: IP, Enhanced Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (EIGRP), Serial Line Interface Protocol Frame Relay, Routing Information Protocol Version 2 (RIPv2),VLANs, Ethernet, access control lists (ACLs).

You can get your CCNA by either:

1) Passing one exam 640-802. Its close to 90 minutes long and have about 55-60 questions.

or

2) You can divide the course work into two parts.

i. 640-822 ICND1 : 90 minutes with 40-50 questions.
ii. 640-816 ICND2 : 90 minutes with 40-50 questions.

When i read this i was like wow things have changed a lot. I gave my CCNA about three years ago, and it was nothing like this. Don’t get me wrong it was hard as hell, but was more routing & switching. Now in the new CCNA R&S, you have wireless and a hint of security.
